Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is a type of coconut oil that is extracted from fresh coconuts without undergoing any chemical processing or heating. VCO is obtained by squeezing the fresh coconut meat and filtering to separate the oil from coconut water and residue. VCO is claimed to have many health benefits because it contains medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) fatty acids, which can be quickly used by the body as a source of energy and can help boost the immune system.
